We returned for our 6th exhibition at Hampton Court palace this year, our first show since Covid-19 restrictions were lifted. Jonathan’s displays showed the very best of the natural environment, with his extraordinary array of small and miniature hostas enclosed in hollow logs. We were excited to return to the flower and garden show circuit following lock-down and even more excited when Jonathan was presented with his 3rd silver-gilt award from Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. Well done Jonathan! We look forward to returning to Hampton Court Palace in 2022 with another unique display…
RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Chelsea Flower Show was surely a bit…peculiar this year. Due to Covid restrictions it was delayed by 4 months until September. While the autumnal show certainly introduced us to seasonal plants and produce not previously presented at Chelsea, Jonathan had the difficult task of tricking his hostas to hibernate for the extra 4 months so they didn’t bloom until September. Luckily, Jonathan was successful in his efforts and was rewarded with his 4th silver-gilt from Chelsea!
One of our favourite horticultural and gardening writers, Beth Otway was on hand to document the highlights of 2021 Chelsea and even managed to snap a few pictures of Jonathan and his lovely wife, Anita in front of Hogarth Hostas’ Chelsea stand (adorned with top-hats and all). We hope you managed to stay safe and well during Covid and were so happy to see so many of you at the RHS shows of 2021.
